So delighted with my taster pack I've bought some more (Regency colourway). Have been using them to mend a very finely knit merino jumper (patterns from Flora Collingwood-Norris' excellent book) and they pair brilliantly. A pleasure to stitch with.

I'm a confident stitcher and feel proficient in a number of embroidery styles and techniques - but I've never gotten to grips with sashiko, suspecting that to do it justice, it's more than just throwing together some wonky running stitches (as is so often branded 'sashiko' on social media). This book is excellent: it's clear enough for a beginner to get started, but doesn't patronise or dumb down; explains the various styles with copious illustrations (I appreciate the arrows showing stitch direction!), and has appealing, practical projects I can imagine making and using.

Well, I didn't really *need* another book by her... But I'm delighted and enthused by her designs and will be embellishing my mends and darns with several of these beautiful botanical patterns. Her style is timeless, both classic and modern.

My daughter will love it and I will borrow it.

Love, love, love these! They are a lovely quality and great if, like me, you like to make your own cloth journals and stitch books. I think they would suit many sewing projects and offer a gentle, vintage air to pieces.. Grace was as always supper helpful when I wished to see the buttons before buying. She emailed me images so I could choose (sadly, I don’t live near enough to see for myself in the shop). I always find that contact with Beyond Measure is excellent and they bend over backwards to help you find the perfect item. I really recommend these buttons; they are larger than they look in the photograph so check measurements of you are buying for a clothing garment there is a great choice of sizes.
