Clare Hillerby Ruler Earstuds

Created by Manchester based jeweller, Clare Hillerby, these unusual earstuds are created from old wooden school rulers. Each stud consists of a piece of ruler, mounted onto oxidised silver* with a tiny gold tube rivet. The patina of the ruler and the hand made finish creates a piece of jewellery that is totally unique! Pairs are not matching but have been cut from the same ruler.
Each stud measures approx 12 mm across.
*Oxidised silver is sterling silver that has been treated to give a subtle ‘gun metal’ effect to the surface.
