The first relies on colour theory concepts and the second delves into colour sensitivity as a means of training the eye for spotting colours in everyday life, as well as memories and associations, and learning how to extract and integrate them in a fresh and original palette.
Inspirational photographs are accompanied by stitching illustrations and step-by-step photographs for the colour choosing process as well as stitching projects. Five stitching projects provide an opportunity to put learning into practice.
Although the palettes are based around DMC colours, the theory can be applied to any threads you choose to use.
We sell beautiful and useful things for makers. Our products are sourced with care and consideration for those who make them and we work with smaller companies and individuals whose sourcing and manufacturing process are transparent.
We hope to be an inclusive company and strive to create an environment that is welcoming and embraces diversity, both with our online presence, the makers we represent, our physical pop-ups events and our collaborations.
We welcome suggestions about how we can improve our approach.
We donate monthly to theses two amazing charities:
* Labour Behind the Label
* The Runnymede Trust.
