These mini sewing magazines from Marilla Walker reflect her creative and DIY attitude to everthing she does!
Made from recycled paper and card, there are 12 A5 pages in total (not including the cover) beautifully illustrated with hand drawn watercolour illustrations and page headings.
Issue 2 contains a mini study of a vintage night shirt with instructions and measurements for cutting and sewing your own heirloom inspired top. There is a cross stitch alphabet chart included to embroider your finished garment (please note that the hem featured on the cream sample is an existing hem cut from a vintage sheet and not part of the project).
The top has been drafted to fit chest 77cm - 162cm. Please note that the pattern is a series of measurements that need to be drawn out and not a physical pattern. There is a recommended ease of 10cm, but size up for a looser fit (as shown on the mannequin). The measurements are easily modified if you wish to size up beyond the measurements provided.
Approximate fabric quantity (based on 140cm wide fabric) - 75cm long for the smaller sizes up to 140cm for the largest size. You can use as little as 110cm of fabric on the largest size by cutting the sleeves on the horizontal grain.
