100 Act of Sewing July is back for 2019 !
I've been planning this year's 100 Acts of Sewing July since last year and I'm really excited to be bringing you an even bigger and better version this year!
For those of you who don't know about the 100 Acts of Sewing patterns, they are a range of very simple, size inclusive garment sewing patterns by Sonya Philip that aim to get you making your own unique and hand-made wardrobe without too much fuss! They are also great building blocks for boosting your confidence as they are easy to adapt and hack. You can find out more about Sonya in this blog post from last year.
I'm delighted to be the sole UK retailer of the patterns and organiser of this social media event in July which celebrates the patterns and those who make them! This year it will take place on Instagram and in our 100 Acts of Sewing Facebook group, with posts and tutorials here on my blog.
You can find all the patterns in the pattern section of my shop, or you can buy direct from 100 Acts of Sewing and other retailers worldwide.
So how do you take part? It's simple - you make the patterns and then post them on your IG account or in the Facebook group.
You will need to use the hashtag
#100actsofsewingjuly19
and the relevant hashtag for the pattern/s involved e.g #shirtno1, #dressno3 etc
plus follow and tag @beyond_measure_uk and the sponsor for that week.
This year, I'm also adding some extra prizes for those of you who have taken your sewing a bit further with hacks and adaptation.

3. You can enter garments that you have made previously but they must not have been entered into any previous 100 Acts of Sewing July events. You must post your garment in the relevant week to be eligible for a prize (not just update and old post)

5. All Instagram entries must come from public accounts.
6. All Facebook entries must be posted in the Facebook Group. You won't get access to the group unless you answer the questions.

8. Prizes are non-negotiable and may be offered from a particular range of goods only depending on the sponsor.
