Nurge Tambour Hook & Spare Needles
- Worldwide Shipping Available
This lovely beech wood tambour hook is used for bead embroidery (also called French embroidery or Aari) as well as decorative chain stitch embroidery called tambour work. The hook catches the thread on the backside of the fabric, pulling it to the front side to create loops or attach beads or sequins.
The Nurge Tambour Hook comes with a hook No.2 (0.7mm) needle. The handle is turned beech wood and the metal screw collar allows adjustment and replacement of the needle.
Supplied in a plastic storage tube. Made in Turkey.
The medium No. 2 hook is great for getting started and is appropriate for using fine cotton thread on a stable surface fabric. We also sell spare needles in other sizes - please select your size from the drop down menu.
