We are delighted to present these beautiful fundraiser embroidery kits from Calderdale artist Ginger Becky (Rebecca Wann), exclusively available from Beyond Measure. The contents have been donated by Rebecca Wann, Amy Mellis and Beyond Measure.

The full price paid for each kit will be donated to charity - an equal split between Action Aid UK and The Palestine Children's Relief Fund.

The kit contains all you need to create a beautiful hand stitched panel.  The design features a mother and child, surrounded by symbols representing all the things we need for a peaceful and happy life - food, water, nature, love and peace.

In this kit you will find:

  • a piece of linen appox 14inch, 36cm square, with screen printed design (sourced and screen printed locally)
  • 4 full skeins of DMC embroidery thread (colours may vary from those shown but will be of a similar palette)
  • 2 full skeins of Appleton's wool thread (colours may vary from those shown but will be of a similar palette)
  • 5m of gold metallic polyester thread
  • 2 needles and a hook threader
  • a 20 page instruction booklet with pictures and detailed explanations so that the kit is beginner friendly (printed locally). Please note that the design is made to be stitched freestyle and not with prescribed stitches and colours.

We have not included a hoop, but if you need one, we recommend our nurge 16mm deep hoop in size 4, available here, or a standard 6 or 7 inch hoop.

To ensure we can raise as much as possible, loyalty points and discount codes are not redeemable against this item.

Beautiful design

However, as a not so experienced embroiderer I would have appreciated a large picture to be able to reproduce, or to inspire my own work.

Hi Selma, thanks so much for your feedback. We shall try to get some larger images up on the website or a write blog post with some more details to inspire you.
Thanks for supporting the fundraiser,
Grace

Can‘t wait

I received my embroidery kit last week and can’t wait to start it. I can’t say a lot more about it right now, as I have a couple of other projects to finish first. It arrived really quickly after ordering.

Brilliant purchase

Lovely kit and well presented. Great communication with Grace, meeting my request to delay postage for personal reasons.
