I wanted to try sashiko stitching because I find it beautiful and I need a slow calming activity. This book is very good value, beautifully produced and has very clear guidance. The illustrations are excellent. The full size templates are very good. It inspired me to start samplers and small projects. I enjoy the whole process from drawing the pattern out and then slowly stitching it. I also found everything else that I needed to start at Beyond Measure.

Update: I didn’t realise that the cushion is loose so you can embroider on it, then you permanently attach both pieces. I must have missed those instructions, & I don’t have them anymore. I do like that I have a pin cushion close by so I can quickly & easily change out my embroidery needles. Thank you for letting me know that I can embroider the cushion then permanently fit it to the wooden piece.
This gorgeous piece of fabric is suitable for experts and beginners alike. I'm very much a newbie to embroidery and it's such fun to do. There are so many ideas to find and some of the figures will definitely be men. Delivery was super quick, great packaging too.
Beautiful wools. I am using them to embroider a design by Nicola Jarvis. The flecks enhance the crewel work stitching on her badger design. So pleased I have now purchased the other 3 bundles.
A beautifully crafted needle holder, a piece of art in its own right. Definitely worth the price and practical, an essential for anyone interested in knitting or crochet.
Lovely little needle minder that works fine. Nice detailed design with a tiny heart on the back. Very collectable.
