Susan Briscoe is a designer and textile artist, author of several books and teaches creative textile workshops.
Kogin embroidery is a type of sashiko but using counted threads to create beautiful geometric patterns.
This book contains a selection of over 60 pattern charts and 12 accompanying projects. This include: greetings cards, wall hangings, coasters and table runners. The book features both traditional and more contemporary applications of the designs.
Susan also gives a background history of the development of kogin and the different regional styles, details of materials and how to prepare for stitching, as well as a comprehensive guide to techniques.
