These sashiko sampler cloths from Daruma are a great introduction to sashiko and some of the traditional patterns used. They come as a pre-printed cloth which is doubled up to create a neat cloth with finished edges. After stitching the printed lines will disappear with a gentle wash.
The finished cloth size is approx 34cm square. Some designs are available in white or navy. 100% cotton, made in Japan.
English instructions included. Most of these designs take 1 card of Daruma sashiko thread in thin or thick. The following designs take more:
White Clover - 3 cards thick or thin
Cross Flower - 3 cards thin or 3-4 cards thick
Mountain Range - 2 cards thick or 1 card thin

A very mindful and relaxing way to sew. The rhythms and even stitching is a joy to complete.
