This handcrafted wooden hera marker is made by Laura Ter Kuile of Thread Pegs in her Cornwall workshop.
A hera marker is a wooden fabric marking tool used to create lines and markings on fabric. Applying pressure to the fine wooden edge creates a temporary scored line on the fabric surface. Perfect for sewers, quilters, and seamstresses who want clean, temporary creases without ink or chalk residue on their precious fabrics. The natural wood creates crisp, visible lines that press away when you're done - no washing required, no messy marks to remove.
Each Hera Marker is meticulously crafted from solid hardwood and hand-sanded to a silky-smooth finish. The result is an incredibly tactile sewing tool that feels as good in your hand as it performs on your fabric.

- Fold lines on delicate fabrics that might bleed with traditional markers
Each Hera Marker is unique and chosen from the wood Laura has available in her workshop. They may look different to the items pictures in the photos but they will work equally as well. She does not put any varnish or oil on the Hera Markers - they will stay soft and the more you work with them the smoother they will become.
