TAUKO Magazine is a pioneering independent print publication for home sewists around the world. The vast horizon of crafts, culture and climate is featured in sewing patterns, interviews, columns, articles, tips and recommendations by international contributors.
Empathy is at the heart of Issue No. 13, inspiring makers to think deeply about how clothing shapes our understanding of each other and ourselves. This issue explores how sewing connects us to a wider world of textile activism, where gentle craft becomes a powerful tool for social change, with winter-ready patterns including quilted coats, chic dresses and designs with a unique twist.
Perfect for creating winter garments that are as meaningful as they are beautiful, this issue also includes special features such as hand embroidery techniques. Whether you're an experienced maker or new to sewing, Issue 13 invites you to craft with compassion and care.

This is my second purchase from Beyond Measure, expanding my range of colours. It's a lovely thread to work with, in a rainbow of colours. Promptly delivered with hand-written notes on the invoice, which adds a personal touch! Thank you, again
Amazing! Really easy to thread and do ‘what they say on the tin’ - they are sharp and I’ve used them on fine silk voile, woven cotton and even to quilt through layered fabric with equal success. Super happy!
I have a box of the 40m cards and like to refill it when I am running one low. I also buy the larger hanks for my favourite colours. They are excellent quality, sew beautifully in my sashiko work and the colours do not run when washed. They are the best.
I love pretty much anything published by Laine, they have outdone themselves with this issue however.
Immediately on flicking through I bookmarked three 'must knits' and really enjoyed the article on Satu Rämö too ( if you've not read her novels now is a very good time to start).
Really enjoying this card deck, is helping improve my granny square skills. Instructions are clear, easy and fun!
