These beautiful glass marking pins look like small marbled lollipops and are handmade with care, one-by-one by Plants Beads Works, established in Kokubunji, Tokyo in 2011.
They are based on Ohajiki, which is a game similar to marbles but using glass discs. The glass components are heated in the flame from a burner and carefully shaped. They are then applied to a smooth steel pin (made in Hiroshima, an area famous for their production).
Packed in a cardboard presentation sleeve.
Pins are 37 mm long and 0.5 mm wide.
We sell beautiful and useful things for makers. Our products are sourced with care and consideration for those who make them and we work with smaller companies and individuals whose sourcing and manufacturing process are transparent.
We hope to be an inclusive company and strive to create an environment that is welcoming and embraces diversity, both with our online presence, the makers we represent, our physical pop-ups events and our collaborations.
We welcome suggestions about how we can improve our approach.
We donate monthly to theses two amazing charities:
* Labour Behind the Label
* The Runnymede Trust.
