Glowing in vibrant yellow, this graceful pine wood needle minder takes the form of the layered petals of the Amur Adonis flower. Its built-in magnet catches and holds your needles securely, making it a reliable needle minder for both pins and needles at rest.
Each item is hand carved and painted at Ishikawa Sculpture Works and comes with a Cohana logo-backing magnet so you can anchor it to your fabric whilst working.
The name Fukujuso is formed from three characters: “Fuku” (福, fortune), “Ju” (寿, longevity), and “So” (草, plant). Together, they embody the wish for happiness and long life, making the flower a cherished symbol of good fortune.
Ishikawa Sculpture Works has been in business for over 50 years. Mr. Ishikawa, a second-generation carver and traditional craftsman, primarily creates Ranma; decorative transoms for temples. He is a highly valuable craftsman, as there are now very few carvers with the fine and reliable techniques required for making Ranma.
