Get started with sashiko with this easy beginner's Sashiko Kit from Cosmo Hidamari. 

The kit contains all you need to make 2 beautiful sashiko coasters or mats. Follow the pre-printed design to stitch your sashiko pattern with the thread provided, then use the plain fabric backing, cotton tab and coordinating thread to sew up your coasters.  Simply wash away the lines, give them a press and you are done!

Each kit contains materials to make 2 coasters, finished size 10cm x 10cm. 

Contents:

*pre-printed 100% cotton cloth for two coasters with wash-out sewing and cutting lines. 
*hidamari stitch thread (white for the taupe set, 2 x white dots for the teal set)
*sewing thread for hand stitching the fabric together (can also be machined)
*cotton tape for tabs
*sewing needles and threader
*instruction manual in Japanese with diagrams

Great Coasters Kit

I love this kit. Everything is included. I like making useful objects - the coasters are a very handy. Although the instructions are in Japanese the pictures are very clear in the process of making. I like the fact that the kit is a small project so I can squeeze it in between bigger projects. I think the price point is very reasonable. You get two different coloured threads to choose from and a needle threader. Highly recommended this kit especially if you just wanted a small experience of Sashiko to see if you like it. Highly recommend this kit.

Kit arrived beautifully packed. I’ve never done Sashiko stitching before and was disappointed to discover that any instructions appear to be in Japanese.

I'm sorry you weren't happy with your kit. At the top of the product listing in capital letters it does explain that the instructions are in Japanese, we do try to make this as clear as possible. If you wish to return it we can offer a refund or an exchange as per our terms.
