about the maker
From pattern designer Dhurata Davies, this set of seven hexagonal pattern weights is lovingly crafted and hand-stitched adapting the English paper piecing technique.
Use them to weight down your paper patterns whilst cutting out.
These sets have been specially made for Beyond Measure using vintage Liberty, linen and Japanese fabrics from Grace's collection. Each weight is double sided and made from a Liberty cotton lawn with a linen/cotton back.
Available in limited quantities, they are a real treat to use and hold.
They make a practical and luxurious gift for those who love to sew and stitch, surrounded by beautiful and tactile objects.
Packaged in a cardboard storage tube.
One hexagon measures 6cm (2 and 3/8") at its widest point and weighs about 45gr (1.5oz).

Beautiful little sewing weights- they are beautifully made and a special treasure
Now based in West Sussex, UK, dressmaking pattern designer and private sewing tutor Dhurata was born and brought up in Kosovo where she was inspired by people who knew how to make pretty much anything with their bare hands. After studying graphic design, Dhurata has worked with several creative businesses alongside her teaching. She now designs her own brand of dressmaking patterns for adults, babies, and children. They are accessible and adaptable as Dhurata believe that being able to make your own clothing is an incredibly valuable and enjoyable skill that should be available to all.
We sell beautiful and useful things for makers. Our products are sourced with care and consideration for those who make them and we work with smaller companies and individuals whose sourcing and manufacturing process are transparent.
We hope to be an inclusive company and strive to create an environment that is welcoming and embraces diversity, both with our online presence, the makers we represent, our physical pop-ups events and our collaborations.
We welcome suggestions about how we can improve our approach.
We donate monthly to theses two amazing charities:
