These gorgeous threads are hand dyed in the UK by Zoe Acketts of Paint Box Threads. Zoe uses her artist's eye to individually mix each dye and create beautiful palettes of seductive colours, from the vibrant to the muted.
The mercerised cotton can be used for hand or machine embroidery. The hand-dying process adds a subtle variation to the colour which will add that special something to your textile projects.
Each pack contains 10 skeins, each 50m long.
Thread is a similar thickness to a Perle12 or one and a half of DMC 6 Stranded. Can be used singly or doubled.
Please note that we are unable to represent colours with 100% accuracy on the screen but rest assured these threads combinations look even better in real life!

A beautiful range of deep mysterious shades that I plan to use to create a black bird with those lovely shimmers of iridescent colour.
Lovely range of coordinated colours, great to see with too.
Beautifully curated colours. A joy to use. The thread subtly changes colour in different light and isn't a flat colour; it has natural variations. Gorgeous. Having to get my head around the thicker threads compared to the standard DMC embroidery floss but worth it to give a special project an extra something.

Update: I didn’t realise that the cushion is loose so you can embroider on it, then you permanently attach both pieces. I must have missed those instructions, & I don’t have them anymore. I do like that I have a pin cushion close by so I can quickly & easily change out my embroidery needles. Thank you for letting me know that I can embroider the cushion then permanently fit it to the wooden piece.
This gorgeous piece of fabric is suitable for experts and beginners alike. I'm very much a newbie to embroidery and it's such fun to do. There are so many ideas to find and some of the figures will definitely be men. Delivery was super quick, great packaging too.
Beautiful wools. I am using them to embroider a design by Nicola Jarvis. The flecks enhance the crewel work stitching on her badger design. So pleased I have now purchased the other 3 bundles.
A beautifully crafted needle holder, a piece of art in its own right. Definitely worth the price and practical, an essential for anyone interested in knitting or crochet.
Lovely little needle minder that works fine. Nice detailed design with a tiny heart on the back. Very collectable.
