These lovely boxed pattern weights are made in the UK by The Industrious Maker, Gill Flury.  Gill's design process involves the collection of an ephemera of vintage sewing items and packaging which are photographed, drawn from and digitally manipulated to create unique modern sewing accessories with a vintage style.

Each weight is approx 70gms to hold your your sewing patterns and papers in place. The vintage style designs  printed onto organic cotton using eco friendly inks. The weights are made from repurposed solid brass plumbing parts which are manufactured in Yorkshire in the UK. They are polished and stuffed with Shetland felt and British lambswool so they can also mind any stray needles. The weights come wrapped in vintage sewing pattern tissue and fit snugly in the circular gift box with a fabric printed lid.

Small but perfect

I wanted a set of pattern weights for my son and was looking for something that would be right for him. These are excellent and he loves them. My only suggestion is that there should be 4 in the set. I had to buy another set for him because he needed 4. One for each corner. Seems obvious. But these are unusual and lovely quality. The little cushions on the top save even more pubs going all over the floor! They also come in lovely packaging. Would highly recommend.
