We are really delighted to introduce the designs of Saima Kaur to our shop! Also based in the Calder Valley, Saima creates wonderful embroideries that spring from her own imagination and the joys (and sometimes absurdities) of everyday life.
This panel is a linear screen print on 100% organic cotton and you can embroider it to you own taste and colour palette. You could also add applique or even fabric paint - it's up to you! See some of our examples for inspiration.
The fabric is a warm, very pale pink colour with grey image. It comes with a note from Saima about what stitches work best for certain areas. You'll need you own needles and thread, and a hoop if you like.
We'd love to see what you make - tag us and @sewsaima on Instagram or email us a photo.
Panel measures 28 x 37cm and the printed area is 14 x 21cm. Comes packed in an A5 envelope.
Printed in the Calder Valley by Amy Mellis Designs.
Samples shown sewn by Barbara Blackburn, Jo Butler and Saima Kaur.
