The knitwear designer Ronja Hakalehto lives in Northeastern Finland with her husband, three children, four dogs, and a small flock of sheep. She is known for her beautifully rustic designs and earthy colour palette, which evoke the serene spirit of Northern forests and landscapes.
Unfolding Landscapes features 17 beautiful knits inspired by a journey through Northern Finland. Ronja Hakalehto has designed patterns perfect for travels, such as an effortless sweater for hiking trails, a cosy shawl to wrap up in by the campfire, and a light T-shirt or dress for those hot summer days by the water.
The book has designs for everyone in the family, and a variety of techniques from intricate colourwork and cables to elegantly simple stitches. Inspired by nature, shared moments, and the joy of travel, these patterns invite you on an adventure – whether to unexplored side paths or the peace of a log cabin.
